How to Make Ginger and Rosemary Bath Salts
Ginger and rosemary bath salts are an easy to make, all natural skin treatment that can help soften and exfoliate the skin. Ginger has a somewhat refreshing effect, while rosemary can help to calm and soothe the nerves. Ginger and rosemary bath salts will keep for up to one year if stored in a cool, dark place between uses. Homemade bath salts also make a wonderful gift, especially when paired with other homemade body products. This recipe makes 1 1/4 cups of ginger and rosemary bath salt. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 1 cup Epsom salts
- ¼ cup baking soda
- 2 tsp. almond oil
- Small mixing bowl
- Large wooden spoon
- 6 drops ginger essential oil
- 6 drops rosemary essential oil
- Plastic wrap
- Wide-mouth glass with lid

Mix the Epson salts, baking soda and almond oil together oil in a small mixing bowl. Stir to combine for 30 to 60 seconds with a large wooden spoon.

Add the ginger essential oil and rosemary essential oil. Cover the mixture with plastic wrap and set aside to infuse for six to eight hours.

Transfer the prepared bath salts into a wide-mouth glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.

Use the bath salts by filling a bathtub half full with warm water. Add two tablespoons of the bath salts. Get in the tub and continue filling. Soak for 20 to 30 minutes and then pat the skin dry.
