1
Exfoliate your skin in the shower using a homemade body scrub of sugar mixed with a bit of olive oil and water. Once your skin is smooth, rinse off, shave and pat your skin dry with a towel.
-
2
Apply a self tanner to your skin. Allow several hours to pass for your golden glow to take on full effect.

Tease your hair into the perfect poof. To achieve this trendy Hollywood hairstyle, dry and straighten your hair. Tease the hair along the crown of your head with a small comb. Follow with heavy amounts of hairspray. Gather your hair into your desired poof height and secure your style with bobby pins. Follow with more hair spray.

Apply heavy makeup. The paparazzi on the red carpet spare no one, which means you will need to cover every blemish, wrinkle and broken capillary with epic amounts of foundation, concealer and powder. Follow this step with an overall sweep of bronzer and then apply blush to the apples of your cheeks. Apply a brown, black or navy eyeliner to the top and bottom lids and smudge. Use glittery eye shadow on the lids. Finish with two coats of black mascara on the lashes. Use a Q-tip to clean up any mistakes.

5
Dress the part. Put on the fanciest ballgown or cocktail dress you own. If you're feeling a bit self conscious, try wearing a pair of control-top pantyhose or Spanx to help suck in your problematic areas. Don't forget the push up bra. The key is to "lift and separate."
-
6
Accessorize. Put on a pair of strappy heels. The higher the heels, the better. Famous people stand out for a reason and adding some height to your getup will only make you look longer, leaner and more powerful. Use jewelry with caution. Accentuate either your ears or your neck with one, standout piece. Too much jewelry will take away from your beautiful hair, makeup and gown.

Tips & Warnings
Don't forget to wear sunglasses if it's a bright and sunny day. The bigger the shades, the better.
A rhinestone barrette or a feather headband in the hair makes a trendy yet sophisticated statement. You may also wish to wear a pair of white or black elbow-length gloves.
Remember that attitude is everything when it comes to Hollywood. Famous people are usually confident and poised. Be sure to practice your red carpet walk and camera poses before you head out the door.
