Instructions for a Cell Phone Charm
Cell phone manufacturers are very intent on putting the latest apps and programs into their products. This makes the workings of the phone better, but it doesn't make it any more decorative. Many people want to personalize the outside of their cell, and cell phone charms are a good way to do it. Many cell phone charms are selling quickly online and in craft fairs, but you can make your own for much less money. The project takes minutes to complete, and you can make multiple copies for gifts for friends.

1
Lay out your choice of beads on a table to make sure that they are installed in the correct order. Place them in a row, from the bottom up. Begin with a small bead as a spacer to hold the other beads on. This will ensure that your larger focus beads don't fall off the pin. Make your entire string of beads 2 inches long or shorter.
-
2
Slide the beads onto the head pin, paying close attention to the pattern that you are creating. Try for a symmetrical look, with a focus bead in the center and a series of smaller beads radiating toward the top and the bottom.

3
Clip off the excess wire in the head pin when you have finished stringing all of the beads on. Leave about 1/2 inch above the top of the last bead to create the top loop. If you are unsure of your wire bending abilities, leave a little more wire. It is easier to cut a little more off than to start all over because of a short pin.
-
4
Bend the wire left at the top of the head pin into a smooth loop. Make the loop as close to circular as you can make it, and bend the leading end of the wire back down into the top of the last bead.
-
5
Slip the wire loop onto the cell phone lariat. The end of the lariat has a very small wire circle, formed much like a circular key chain. Slide the wire into the circle on the lariat and twist it around until the wire with beads is secured in the center of the lariat wire circle.
