Egyptian Mud Slap Card Game Instructions
Egyptian Mud Slap, also known by Egyptian Ratscrew, Egyptian War and a variety of other names, is an incredibly fast-paced card game that requires each player to concentrate and show quick reflexes. You can play with two to six players, and the object of the game is to be the last player who still has cards. Setting up the game is quite easy, as are the instructions to this simple game.

1
Deal out the entire deck equally among all players. A standard card deck has 52 cards, and you do not play with jokers for this game. Each player puts their stack of cards face down. Players are not allowed to view their own cards.
-
2
Begin play with the person to the left of the dealer, who flips over the first card in his stack for everyone to see. If the card that has just been played is a face card, the next player has a chance to play a face card within a designated number of cards. If the face card is a jack, the next player has one chance to draw a face card. If it's a queen, they get two chances, a king three chances and an ace four chances. The second player gets the entire stack of cards if she played a face card. If player 2 fails to play a face card, the first player gets the stack and plays a new card.

3
Play continues to the left if the card that was played is not a face card. Continue to take turns until a face card is drawn.
-
4
Slap the pile of cards if two of the same cards get played on top of one another. The suits don't have to match, just the number or face of the card. Some versions of this game also allow you to slap the pile if a "sandwich" is created, for example if a 7, then a 3, then another 7 was played. If you are the quickest player to slap the pile, you can take it and restart play.
-
5
Win the game by collecting all of the cards. While playing the game, it's important that players flip their cards quickly, not taking time to think or stare at the pile. This makes the game fast paced and exciting, and requires players to be on their toes.
