Instructions to Refill HP 92 Ink
It is much more economical to refill your printer cartridges instead of buying new ones every time you run out of ink. This is especially true for the HP 92 black ink cartridge, as it only holds 5 mL of ink, when most printer cartridges hold at least 20 mL. The small ink capacity makes it necessary to refill the ink cartridge more often. When purchasing an ink refill kit, make sure that it is designed for use with the HP 92 cartridge. You should be able to print approximately 200 pages before needing to refill again.

1
Remove the HP 92 ink cartridge from your printer. Lay it on a flat surface that is covered with newspaper or paper towels.
-
2
Remove the protective sticker from the cartridge. The sticker has an small icon in its upper-right corner that resembles a house. Start pulling the sticker from that corner, peeling it off the cartridge slowly and carefully.

3
Open up your refill kit, and fill the syringe with 5 mL of black ink. Do not go over the 5 mL mark, as that is all the ink that the cartridge can hold. Things could get messy if you overfill the cartridge.
-
4
Locate the five holes that were revealed when you removed the sticker. Use the syringe to slowly inject the ink into the top hole only; the other four holes are empty chambers. It is important that you fill it slowly to avoid spills.
-
5
Place the sticker back over the holes. Smooth it down and wipe away any excess ink with a paper towel. Don't worry if the sticker was damaged when you first removed it because a missing sticker won't cause any problems with printing.
-
6
Put the HP 92 ink cartridge back into your printer and run the printer cleaning program. Different printers have different instructions on how to access the cleaning cycle, so check with the owner's manual for the specific instructions for your HP printer.
