How to Set Up a Bluetooth Ear Piece

A Bluetooth ear piece allows hands-free conversation using your cell phone.

Bluetooth ear pieces are commonly used in conjunction with cell phones, enabling you to communicate without using your hands. Setting up your Bluetooth requires pairing the device with your cell phone.

Instructions

1. Turn on your cell phone.

2. Press "Menu" to enter your cell phone's main menu. Highlight the "Settings" listing (or "Tools" in some cell phones) and press "ENTER."

3. Highlight the "Bluetooth" menu option and press "ENTER."

4. Enable your cell phone's Bluetooth capabilities. Certain cell phones require you to select the "Add a New Device" option from the screen you are currently viewing. Others will simply have a button that reads "Turn On." In either case, enabling the Bluetooth capabilities will put it into "Pairing" mode.

5. Press and hold the button on the side of your Bluetooth ear piece to put it into "Pairing" mode as well.

6. Select the listing for your ear piece on your cell phone's Bluetooth menu. This will pair the devices. Your Bluetooth ear piece is now properly set up and ready to use.
