How to Use a Multi Card Reader With a Compaq Presario Multi Laptop

A multicard reader is a memory flash card device that is integrated into your Compaq laptop, allowing you to quickly transfer your data, often photos from a camera, onto your computer without having to connect your camera directly to your laptop. Using your multicard reader is as simple as ensuring your card is supported, and getting to your files on your computer.

Instructions

1. Check to make sure that your SD card is one of the following: SmartMedia, xD, MultiMedia Card, Secure Digital (SD), Mini Secure Digital, Compact Flash I, Compact Flash II, IBM Microdrive, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Pro Duo, RSMMC, MMC Mobile, or MMC+.

2. Push the card into your multicard reader with the metal surface pointed downwards.

3. Browse to "My computer" from the start menu.

4. Double click on the card to view the files stored on it.
