How to Fill a Whirlpool Therapy Tub
Therapeutic whirlpool baths are used to promote circulation in diabetics' feet and to help those in need of rehabilitation from injuries. Whirlpool baths circulate water providing comfort to muscle or tendon injuries. Muscle damage from accidents or sports injuries may recuperate faster when treated with a whirlpool bath. The circulating water encourages blood flow thereby helping injuries to heal faster. Filling a therapy whirlpool tub is easy, but do not allow the tub to overflow.

Instructions

1
Turn the cold water on first at the whirlpool faucet.
-
2
Turn the hot water on and adjust with the cold water until you achieve a satisfactory heat setting.
-
3
Pull up on the drain stopper to stop the water from draining out of the whirlpool tub. If the whirlpool has a stopper to put in the drain hole, place it in the hole securely.
-
4
Fill the whirlpool tub so the water is 5 to 6 inches from the top. You do not want to fill it to the top as it may overflow when you step in.
-
5
Turn off the hot and cold water faucets when the water reaches the desired amount in the tub. If you only need to have your feet submerged in the tub, run only enough water to cover your feet and ankles.
