How to Use Putty to Connect to VNC
If a VNC (Virtual Network Computing) connection is inaccessible due to a firewall, you can bypass the firewall by using an SSH (Secure Shell) tunnel. This routes the traffic from the VNC connection through the SSH channel. Putty is a graphical SSH client that is available for the Windows and Unix operating systems. It allows you to set up the SSH tunnel without having to use the command line. Once the tunnel is created, you will be able to use a VNC client to connect to the remote computer.
