Norton Ghost is a backup and recovery software application developed by Symantec. It has the ability to create a byte for byte clone of your hard drive. It also provides the ability to create an image of your hard drive that can be placed on a DVD. The resulting DVD is bootable, which means the DVD can be used to boot a computer like a normal operating system disk. Your operating system and files can then be restored from the DVD.
