How to Send a Ringtone on a Verizon Wireless LG Chocolate Phone

The LG Chocolate is a cell phone that is carried by Verizon Wireless. As with many cell phones, the first feature that most people are concerned with customizing on it is the ringtone. The manner in which you send ringtones to your cell phones, though, depends upon the cell phone itself as well as the phone's service provide. Verizon Wireless blocks you from receiving ringtones in regular text message, but you can receive them in picture text messages.

Things You'll Need

• Email account
• Ringtone
• Verizon Wireless LG Chocolate phone

Instructions

1. Log in to your email account, and choose the option to begin composing a new email message. Address the recipient field of your email message to your 10-digit Verizon Wireless cell phone number followed by Verizon Wireless' picture text messaging extension (e.g. [e-mail]).

2. Attach your ringtone to the email message. Click "Attach," browse to the ringtone on your computer's hard drive, click on it to select it and click "Upload." Send the email message, which is delivered to your LG Chocolate as a picture text message.

3. Click "View" on your Verizon Wireless LG Chocolate phone to view the picture text message. Click the right soft key for "Options." Click "Save as Ringtone" to save the ringtone to your LG Chocolate.

Tips & Warnings

• Your phone number should not contain hyphens or spaces between the digits of it.

• Picture text messaging fees might be charged to your Verizon Wireless account, depending upon your calling plan.
