How to Make a Xmas Santa Card thumbnail
Santa is recognized by children around the globe.

Children enjoy making crafts. During the Christmas season, parents can help their children create their own Christmas cards to hand out to classmates. These cards can feature Santa on the front. The inside can contain a Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays message. Parents can then tape a small candy cane to the back of the card as a small Christmas gift.

Instructions

    • 1

Lay some newspapers out over your table to protect it from the paint.

    • 2

Choose a sheet of green or red construction paper and fold it in half to form a card.

    • 3

Paint your four fingers red and the palm of your hand light pink.

    • 4

Press your hand firmly on the front of the card with your fingers together. Lift your hand straight up when you are done so that the paint doesn't smear.

    • 5

Wash your hands off with dish soap and water.

    • 6

Paint your pointer finger white. Press your finger down over and over again in between your red and light pink paint. This creates the bottom fluff of the Santa hat. You may need to reapply the paint after the first two presses. Add a white dot above the red for a pompom on the top of the hat.

    • 7

Paint your finger white again and create a beard by pressing your finger down several times at the bottom of the light pink face.

    • 8

Rinse your finger off and paint it red. Press the finger down above the beard in the center of the face. Then smear a smile on the Santa.

    • 9

Wash your finger off and paint it black. Press down to create two eyes. Let the paint dry.

    • 10

Open the card and print a message inside of it with markers or crayons. Let the paint dry.

Tips & Warnings

  • You should place an art smock on your child so that he doesn't get paint on his clothes.
