This is a craft recipe to make sidewalk paint for kids. Sidewalk paint is a great paint that can be used on sidewalks, driveways, even on brick houses! Sidewalk paint washes off with a hose or you can leave the work of art as is until the rain washes it away. Your kids can use sidewalk paint to make hopscotch grids or to paint roads to guide them on their tricycles or highways for their toy cars and trucks. They can even create their very own board games right on the driveway! No matter how they use it, sidewalk paint will keep them entertained. And it's very cheap to make so you can make all you need!

Difficulty: Easy

Instructions

  1. 1

Get the following ingredients to make sidewalk paint: cornstarch, water, food coloring.

  2. 2

Pour 1/2 cup of water into a small jar or covered container.

  3. 3

Add 1/2 cup of cornstarch to the water and mix well.

  4. 4

Add a few drops of the food color of your choice to the cornstarch mixture and mix well. Keep adding drops until you get the shade desired.

  5. 5

Make more sidewalk paint in different colors in different jars.

  6. 6

Paint on sidewalks using a big round craft paint brush or any cheap paint brush from the paint section of any store.

  7. 7

Store any leftover paint in the jar you mixed it in. If it thickens, add just a bit of water before the next use.
