How to Fold Fabric Cutting Boards
You have many choices in fabric cutting boards. Some fabric cutting boards have hard mats on one or both sides that enable you to cut safely on the surface with rotary cutting blades. Other fabric cutting boards are made of sturdy cardboard and have a different design that is more suitable for covering a work surface and cutting out fabric pieces for sewing garments. When you use this latter cutting board, fold the cutting board up carefully when you are not using it to keep the cardboard from damage. Do not fold cutting boards with hard cutting mats because they do not have the same design.

1
Turn the fabric cutting board over so it is lying flat with the unprinted side facing up.
-
2
Fold in both short edges of the cutting board along the first fold lines. Fold in both short edges again along the second fold lines so the folded edges meet in the center of the cutting board.
-
-
3
Fold the fabric cutting board in half along the center fold. This will make a long folded cutting board that is approximately 1 foot wide.
-
4
Store the cutting board vertically in this folded position until you need it again. Use care when you store this cutting board because the cardboard is fragile. The cutting board can easily bend or tear.
-
5
Unfold the cutting board by reversing steps two and three. Turn the cutting board over so the printed side is facing up to use it.
