Microsoft Outlook 2007 offers a calendar feature that is very useful for keeping track of your events and appointments. If you want other people to view you calendar, you can use Outlook to publish it on the Internet, on Office Online. Once the calendar has been published, you can invite people to view it by sending them an email that provides a link to the calendar.

Instructions

      In Microsoft Outlook, open the calendar. Right click a calendar you want to publish in the Navigation Pane. Click "Publish to Internet" and select "Publish to Office Online." If you are publishing the default calendar, click "Publish Calendar" in the Navigation Pane.

      Register for Office Online with a Windows Live ID account. Follow the prompts to create a free account if you do not have one already.

      Select the details of the calendar you are publishing. Under "Time Span," select how many days you want to share on the calendar. Under "Detail," select the amount of details you want to include, such as "Availability Only" or "Full Details."

      Select whether you want to restrict the calendar viewing to only specific people or if you want to allow anyone to subscribe to it, from "Permissions," Select "Only Invited Users Can View This Calendar" to send sharing email messages to certain people. Click "OK." The newly-shared calendar will appear with a different icon in your Navigation Pane.

      In the Navigation Pane, right click your shared calendar. Click "Publish to Internet" and select "Share Published Calendar." A sharing invitation message will appear.

      Enter the names of the people to whom you want to grant permission to view the calendar.

      Enter a message in the body of the email if you want. The link to the online calendar is included in the message. Click "Send."
