How to Remove Parental Controls
Internet Explorer comes preinstalled with a parental controls feature. The parental controls feature allows parents to create filters and settings to block Web sites that they do not want their children to access. In addition, the parental controls feature can block files from being downloaded without a parental controls password. Unfortunately, some users have experienced situations where Internet Explorer has prompted them for a parental controls password despite never having set up parental controls. Other users may simply want to remove the parental controls feature after setting it up.

Things are slightly different in my Windows 7 registry: I navigate to 'Policies' as instructed, and then see four sub-folders, one of which is 'Ratings' and one of which is 'System'. There is no '+' sign, and no option to Delete. Any idea what I can do to remove parental controls? Thanks (a 70-year old).
