Instructions

    • 1

Lay the satin on a flat surface and measure two 10-by-10-inch squares of the satin. Cut out the two squares.

    • 2

Lay the two satin squares of fabric on top of each other so that the shiny side of the fabric is facing in and touching each other. Use straight pins to pin the right side of the two pieces of satin together.

    • 3

Sew a stitch up the right side of the two pieces of satin, using needle and thread, where the straight pins are holding the pieces of satin together. After stitching a seam along the right edge, remove the straight pins. Turn the fabric right-side out so that the shiny satin pieces are facing out.

    • 4

Push the pillow form inside the fabric.

    • 5

Stitch a seam along the bottom, left side and top edge of the satin fabric, enclosing the pillow form into the satin fabric.

    • 6

Tie a bow around the pillow, using wide satin ribbon, so that the bow sits in the center of the pillow. Pin down the loops of the bow with straight pins, so that the pins are hidden under the top of the bow loops.

    • 7

Cut the 1 yard of the smaller satin ribbon in half to create two strips of ribbon--one to hold each wedding ring later. Situate each piece of ribbon so the top is under the big bow on the pillow and so that the two pieces of ribbon form an upside-down V. Use the needle and thread to place a small stitch at the top of each small strip of ribbon to attach it to the pillow.

    • 8

Sew one of the tassels onto the satin cording. Fold the cording in half and tie it around the bow on the pillow so that the tassel falls on the pillow where you want it.
