Bazooka subwoofers offer superb sound.

Bazooka subwoofers offer superb sound for your mobile listening experience. They offer powerful bass and a rich, clean sound without filling your car with large and unsightly speaker boxes. A proper installation is crucial to achieve the best sound quality out of your subwoofer and ensure you don't damage your vehicle.

Instructions

    • 1

Choose a place in your car where you want the speakers mounted. The speaker end of the tube should be facing into a corner, and you should leave two to four inches between the speaker membrane and the corner for optimal sound quality. Make sure the screws won't impact the gas tank, spare tire or any electrical systems.

    • 2

Screw the mounting brackets to the floor of your vehicle, leaving space for about a three-inch overhang on both ends when the subwoofer is attached. For many models, this will be about 13 inches from inside edge to inside edge. Mounting these brackets incorrectly will make it impossible to correctly finish the installation. These brackets will hold your speaker in place, so make sure they are firmly screwed into the floor.

    • 3

Thread the two mounting straps through the bases by feeding it through the right side of the base, running it across the bottom and out the left side to anchor the tube in place. The straps screw into the bracket with supplied hardware.

    • 4

Download an installation manual specific to your speaker model from the Bazooka website (see Resources). Several connections will have to be made in order to properly install the speaker, including the left and right channels and a connection to the power supply for your mobile audio. A manual specific to your model is the only way to be sure you're wiring it properly.

    • 5

Reconnect the power to your battery after the installation is complete. Test your stereo to make sure you are hearing the added bass. If you don't hear any additional bass, you probably attached the power supply to a negative battery terminal. Unhook your battery once again and re-check each connection until you discover the problem.

Tips & Warnings

  • Check the straps that hold the tube in place on the brackets periodically to make sure they're not coming loose.

  • Make sure you disconnect the terminals from your battery before you begin wiring your system to minimize the risk of electrical shock or damage to your car's electrical system.
