Things You'll Need

  • Vinyl deck
  • Water hose with nozzle
  • 2-gallon bucket
  • 1 cup dish soap
  • Soft nylon scrub brush
  • Cotton swabs
  • Denatured alcohol
  • Plastic 1-inch putty knife

      Mix soap and water in the bucket. Scrub the area with the brush using small circular motions. Rinse the deck thoroughly with the water hose.

      Scrape away any large deposits of sap with the plastic putty knife. Hold the putty knife at a narrow angle to the face of the deck to minimize chances of scratching.
