How to Get a USB Port to Work with Vixen Lighting Software

Use your flash drive with Vixen Lighting.

Vixen Lighting Software is a program you can download for free from the Internet. It allows you to create graphic lighting for animations or other items you have on your computer. With the software you are commonly going to save files that are works in progress. When doing so you can either save the files directly to your computer or to an outside source such as a USB flash drive.

Things You'll Need

• USB flash drive

Instructions

1. Insert the USB flash drive to any available USB port on your computer. The computer will state that it has detected a removable device.

2. Launch the Vixen Lighting Software installed on the computer. Open any file you want to edit by clicking "File" followed by "Open" and then select the file you want to edit.

3. Edit the document and perform any changes or additions you want to the file.

4. Click the "File" tab, followed by "Save." A save window appears asking where you want to save the file.

5. Title the file at the top of the screen, then select the USB flash drive as the save location. Click "OK" and the file is saved to your USB flash drive.
