DIY Rock Star Clothing
If you want to dress like a rock star, you're going to need some rock star clothing. Rock star clothes let you show your personality and set your out from the crowd. Fortunately, you don't have to spend a lot of money to get the look of a rock star. It's easy to take the clothes you already have and modify them into a stellar rock star wardrobe. Modify old T-shirts to give them more of a rock star look. Cut the neck bank off of the shirt so that you can skew the top and make it seem asymmetrical. Cut off the sleeves of the shirt if you are trying to achieve a "tough" rock star look. Use scissors to cut jagged slashes in the shirt. These should not be very wide or long. Wear this T-shirt over another T-shirt for a layered look.

Modify your blue jeans to make them seem more worn. Rub sandpaper along several spots in the jeans to create a rough, worn look. Use bleach to give your jeans a lighter, washed-out color. Soak the jeans in a bucket of cold water along with 2 tbsp. bleach. After they have soaked overnight, wash them as usual in your washing machine.

Cut out photos of the rock star that you wish to emulate and study them to determine how you should customize your clothes. If he usually wears a plain T-shirt with a lot of jewelry, you can easily create the same look with the wardrobe that you already have. Look at their pants to see if they look worn, or clean and new. Pay attention to the jewelry; you can easily pick up cheap jewelry at Goodwill or other thrift stores. Add these pieces to your wardrobe to give it a more glamorous look.
