How to Install Ringtones on a Sidekick Slide
The Sidekick Slide is a cell phone that is carried by the T-Mobile network. Just as with most cell phones, you can install ringtones on a Sidekick Slide, but the manner in which you do so depends upon the cell phone's capabilities as well as the cell phone service provider. The Sidekick Slide supports the MP3 audio format, and T-Mobile allows you to install ringtones on cell phones via text message, so you can install ringtones on a Sidekick Slide by texting yourself an MP3 ringtone.

Go to your email account. Click the option to begin composing a new email message. Make the recipient of your email message your 10-digit cell phone number followed by @tmomail.net (i.e. xxxxxxxxxx@tmomail.net).

Add your MP3 ringtone to your email message as an attachment. Click "Attach," browse to the MP3 ringtone on your computer and click "Attach" again to attach it to your email message. Send the email message to your Sidekick Slide. It is delivered to your cell phone as a text message.

Click "View" on your Sidekick Slide to open the text message. Select "Options" and then "Save as Ringtone" to install the ringtone on your Sidekick Slide.

Tips & Warnings
No hyphens or spaces should be between the digits of your cell phone number.
Text messaging fees might be charged to your T-Mobile account, depending upon your calling plan.
