How to Recharge a Ryobi 18V Battery

Ryobi 18V batteries are the power source used to operate some Ryobi power tools. In time and with frequent use, the battery charge wears down, reducing the effectiveness of the tool. In order to continue using the power tool, you need to recharge the battery. Ryobi 18V battery chargers were designed to quickly recharge Ryobi batteries so the user can continue working. Instructions

    • 1

      Plug the battery charger into an electrical outlet. The red indicator light will turn on, indicating the charger is receiving power.

      Insert the Ryobi 18V battery into the charger. The long, cylindrical part of the battery is inserted into the smaller receiving hole on the charger.

      Press down on the top of the battery to ensure it is secure. The green indicator light will start to blink while the red indicator light remains lit.

    • 4

      Remove the power cord from the wall and pull the battery out of the charger when the green indicator remains solid and the red indicator light turns off. Press on the latches on both sides of the battery when pulling it out of the charger.
