      Visit the Orlando Housing Authority website (see Resources) to get your section 8 housing application. Scroll down until you see the “Housing Services” heading on the left sidebar and click on “Apply for Public Housing” in that section.

      Scroll down the page until you see the link that reads “On-line Application.” Click on the link to open or download the Orlando section 8 housing application.

      Fill out the application, either on your computer, then print out the completed form, or print it out to complete by hand. You will need to enter your name, social security number, current address, members of your household, household income and other information.

      Take the completed application with your Social Security card and photo ID to the Orlando Housing Authority Admissions Department at 306 Reeves Court in Orlando. An interviewer will review your application to make sure that it is complete and then give you a copy for your records.

      Wait for the letter that will tell you when a place is available for you. As of March 2010, there is a waiting list for section 8 housing in Orlando.
