How to Build a Slingshot Rifle Gun
A toy rifle can be used to play soldier or big game hunter or deadly assassin. You can build your own powerful “rifle” that uses a slingshot to fire its projectile rather than bullets from a gun. Only a few items are needed, and they are commonplace enough to be found around the house. No one will be fooled into thinking the rifle you have made is real, but it will let you practice your “shooting eye” to your heart’s content.
Things You'll Need
- 2-inch wide balloon
- Scissors
- Toilet paper roll
- Duct tape
- Modeling clay
- Sofa cushion

Put the toilet paper roll on the table on its side.

Wrap duct tape around one end of the toilet paper roll 10 or 15 times.

Use the scissors to cut off the balloon's mouth where it meets the larger part of the balloon that inflates.

Stretch the end of the larger half of the balloon around the end of the toilet paper roll so that it covers the duct tape. Keep stretching the balloon until it is flush against the end of the toilet paper roll.

Wrap duct tape around the end of the balloon that is on the end of the toilet paper roll 10 or 15 times.

Rub a piece of modeling clay between your hands to form a ball. Insert the ball into the open end of the toilet paper roll.

Put a sofa cushion against a wall. Aim your slingshot rifle at the sofa cushion. Grab the ball of modeling clay inside of the balloon. Pull back on the balloon, and then release it to watch the ball of modeling clay shoot out of your slingshot rifle and hit the sofa cushion.
