1
Sketch the amusement park from several different perspectives. Recreate the visuals of the park from above, below, and the side.
-
2
Decide on the scale of the amusement park. Since some amusement parks can measure many square miles, you should also decide on the level of detail that you intend to render. An inch per 100 yards might be an appropriate scale for small amusement parks.
-
-
3
Break up the amusement park into parts. Universal Studios's Islands of Adventure, for instance, is broken into five sections, including Marvel Island and Jurassic Park. This might be a natural way to divide a model of this amusement park.
-
4
Glue the surface down. If it's natural grass, use felt. If it's concrete, though, you could use painted paper or even sandpaper.
-
5
Put together stationary buildings with cardboard, and paint them in detail. Glue them to the surface.
-
6
Construct the roller coasters. You can use cardboard for the vehicle, and wire to shape the infrastructure of the roller coaster. Glue the roller coasters down to the surface.
-
7
Mold clay figurines of guests and employees, for added detail. Place them in the roller coaster, behind vendor carts, and on the sidewalk.
