How to Clone in Adobe Photoshop Elements
Adobe Photoshop Elements is the consumer market's version of the popular premiere photo and image editing software, Photoshop. Photoshop Elements has many of the same functions and capabilities as the larger program, yet is easier to use and less costly than the full Photoshop creative suite. With Photoshop Elements a user can apply a dazzling array of special effects to a photo, and even add or remove portions of a photograph by utilizing the "Clone" tool.

Click on the Photoshop Elements program icon from your computer to open the program.

Open an existing photograph you wish to practice on by choosing "File" from the menu bar, and "Open" to locate your photo on your computer. Alternatively, you may double click on the actual photo's icon or file name to open the file.

Locate the "Window" menu in the toolbar. Pull down to select "Tools" to open the tool palette.

Locate the "Stamp" icon in the tool palette, and click to select it.

Select the brush size from the "Options" bar, and change the stamp tool's size to your liking.

Place the cursor for the stamp icon on the photo and select "alt" while simultaneously clicking to define a source or pick up the image you are copying or cloning.

Move your cursor around in the desired area to paint or clone with the source you've just selected.

Tips & Warnings
Select "Aligned" in the "Options" bar to have the source continually follow your mouse.
De-select "Aligned" in the "Options" bar to pick up the sample source from the original location each time you release the mouse button.
