How to Fix a Slow Computer Start-Up & Reboot

The usual reason for your computer's slow startup and reboot is the size of its startup menu. The startup menu includes programs that start automatically every time you reboot your PC. Many programs include the option of automatic startup in the custom installation package, which users might not be aware of. As the number of programs in the startup menu increases, so does the boot time since every application has to be launched before you can start working. This can become very annoying, as you can wait for quite some time to have all of the applications load. Fortunately, you can remove the progarms you do not need from the startup menu in just a few steps.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the "Start" menu and select "Run."

Click the "Startup" tab. Uncheck the programs you want to remove from the startup menu.

    • 4
