Instructions

    • 1

Wait until the end of the day to measure your feet while wearing the socks you will most likely have on with your cowboy boots.

    • 2

Set your foot on a flat surface and place a box or hardcover book parallel to each side of your foot. Use boxes or books 3 to 4 inches thick or high enough for you to put a measuring tape across them without the tape touching your foot.

    • 3

Measure the distance between the two boxes or books in inches without moving your foot to find the width of your foot.

    • 4

Move the two boxes so one sits against your heel and the other against your toes, with the boxes parallel to each other.

    • 5

Set the measuring tape between these boxes to find the length of your foot.

    • 6

Consult a boot size chart for the size of your boot based on the length and a sizing chart for the width to order (see Resources). Choose the next larger size should your measurements lie between two boot sizes.
