How to Download Microsoft Windows XP
Windows XP was launched before Windows Vista. Many people enjoyed the XP version of Windows and felt that it was an easier operating system to use. You can get XP back on your computer by downloading it online and installing it. Only download programs that you know are from the manufacturer or a trusted source. Many unknown downloads can contain computer-damaging viruses.

Go to Cnet.com.

Click Downloads in the top bar.

Type "Windows XP" in the search box located at the top of the website. Click "Search."

Scroll down until you find "Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition." If you are searching for the small business edition, continue scrolling until you find "Microsoft Windows XP Business."

Click "Download Now" next to the edition you choose.

Accept the download.

Tips & Warnings
The download will continue until it is completed, which can take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour depending on your Internet connection. Once it is completed, click "Run" in the dialog box to continue to a guided set-up and installation.
Always know where you are downloading programs and files from. There are many downloads that contain viruses that can seriously damage your computer.
