How to Mix Pearl Paint for Automobiles
Pearl paint is a translucent paint that is commonly used on Cadillac, Lexus and other luxury brand cars. Pearl paint is made up of a pearl powder that is mixed into a clear coat. The pearl clear coat is then applied on top of any color base coat. The powder pearl mix is relatively cheap and can be mixed into any clear coat that is made for cars. Tips & Warnings
Spray the pearl in very light coats to assure you don't use too much. This can cause the pearl to loose its effect.
If too much pearl is added to the clear coat it will run and streak.
