How to Put Films on a DS Lite
Boasting built-in screens and designed with travel in mind, handheld gaming consoles are sturdy, but incredibly susceptible to screen scratches. The dual-screened Nintendo DS Lite is no exception, including a touch screen that is easy to damage if you're not careful. Rather than run the risk of ruining your expensive console, purchasing protective films to guard the screens on your console protects your investment from any harm.

1
Clean each DS screen immediately before applying a screen protector. Dust the screen with compressed air, then apply window cleaner to a soft, non-abrasive cloth and wipe away any dust and debris. Make sure the screen is completely dry, then dust again with the compressed air.

2
Determine which protector goes on which screen. The film for the top screen is typically harder and larger than the bottom screen's film. The bottom is slightly smaller and softer to accommodate for the DS Lite's touch controls.

3
Remove the protective plastic from the first protective film and apply it to the DS, starting from one edge, slowly pressing it down as you apply it over the rest of the screen. Take your time to avoid leaving air pockets between the film and the screen.

4
Dust off the second screen using compressed air to clear any dust that accumulated while applying the first protective film. Then apply the protector to the second screen just as you did the first, starting from the edge and taking care to work out any air bubbles.
