SIRIUS|XM Satellite Radio

On February 19, 2007, SIRIUS and XM announced a $13-billion merger between the two satellite radio providers. This led many to believe that they could change the XM receiver's programming to the SIRIUS lineup, but this is not the case. Satellite radio receivers designed for XM do not integrate with the SIRIUS system, and vice versa. However, XM subscribers who would prefer not to buy a new receiver may register for the "Best of SIRIUS" package for partial SIRIUS programming.
