Instructions

    • 1

Determine the theme of your party and the feel you want your guests to get from your invitation. If you are planning a child's Halloween party you may want to find a spooky or creative template online. If you are planning a formal dinner you will want to find something elegant or regal.

    • 2

Find the appropriate template. Many templates can be found on your computer's word processing software. If your software does not have invitation templates or if you do not like their option simply open up a search engine and look for free party invitation templates. You should be able to download templates for free or for a small fee.

    • 3

Open the template and add the appropriate information including the guest's name, your address, the party's date and time and any other pertinent information.

    • 4

Print the invitations. Some invitations will require you to print in color and others will be black and white. Consider using colored printer paper or printing on high quality card stock for more formal events.

    • 5

Decorate your invitations with glitter, stickers and markers, if you want a bit more pizazz. You can also punch a hole in one of the corners and tie a bright ribbon to make the invitation look more handmade.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you do not have a printer at home or you decide you want a higher quality print, then sve your cards on a flash drive and take it to a local printer who can print them out on high quality paper in a few hours.
