How Do I Print Postcards on My Printer?
Save a few cents and send a postcard to say hello to a friend instead of full-fledged letter. Making your own postcards takes minutes and you can customize them for every individual. Create postcards with designs and wording to match any season, reason or occasion using a little creativity and your home printer.
Instructions

1
Create a postcard image using photo or graphic design software like Adobe Photoshop or Corel Draw. Set the image size to 6-by-4.25 inches. You could also download a postcard template from websites like HP or Microsoft.
-
2
Open a second document and design the mailing side of the postcard. Feel free to type the mailing address or even a personal message as well.
-
-
3
Load a sheet of cardstock into your printer as directed by the user guide. You could also use brochure paper or heavy-weight paper instead of cardstock.
-
4
Select the printer icon in your software and follow the on-screen instructions to print the front of the postcard image.
-
5
Remove the paper from the printer and flip the printed image over. Place it back into the printer in the same direction it came out. Print the mailing side of the postcard onto the back of the image.
-
6
Use a paper cutter to trim the excess paper from the postcard design. Feel free to leave a small, white border around the design, however the postcard must measure less than 6-by-4.25 inches for mailing, as directed by the USPS.
-
7
Add a postcard stamp to the postcard and prepare for mailing. Repeat the above steps to create more custom postcards.
