Instructions

    • 1

Turn off the Inspiron 1525 by shutting down Windows. Remove the power cable and any other wired peripherals. Turn the computer over so that you are facing the bottom. Remove the battery. When the battery is removed, two large screws will be visible, one at each end of the battery compartment.

    • 2

Remove the two Phillips-head screws from the end of the battery compartment. These screws hold the plastic cover above the keyboard in place. Put the screws aside.

    • 3

Turn the computer over again so that the screen and keyboard face you. Open the main hinge as far as possible.

    • 4

Insert a flathead screwdriver in the depression on the right side of the plastic cover above the keyboard and gently pry the cover away from the computer until you can see the cable connecting the cover to the main logic board of the computer.

    • 5

Remove the cable from the logic board by grasping the plastic pull tab and gently tugging until it comes loose. Set the plastic cover aside. Under the cover, on the left side, you will see a small holder for the internal Bluetooth card and a connector for the cable extending from the Bluetooth card to connect to.

    • 6

Plug the cable from the Bluetooth card into the connector and place the card into the holder next to it.

    • 7

Screw the Bluetooth card into the holder using the Phillips-head screw included in the package.

    • 8

Replace the plastic cover above the keyboard by connecting the cable to the logic board, then pushing the cover back into place, working from left to right.

    • 9

Close the laptop hinge, turn the computer over and replace the screws in the battery compartment.

    • 10

Replace the battery, power cable and any other peripherals that you disconnected. The computer is ready to use.
