How to Create a Blank Children's Certificate Award

Make blank certificates and always be prepared

Children are often deserving of an award certificate for good behavior, doing homework on time without complaint or keeping their bedroom clean. However, you do not always have an award on hand to present. When you have a few extra minutes, make blank award certificates on your computer and be prepared the next time your children deserve an award.

Things You'll Need

• Word Processing Software
• Printer
• Card stock/ printer paper

Instructions

1. Open a blank page in any word processing software like Microsoft Word or Works. Set the image size to letter or 8.5 inches by 11 inches.

2. Design a border around the page using the border art available in your software. Consider using a border that features things children enjoy such as animals, ice cream cones or balloons.

3. Click the center justification icon at the top of the software browser. Type a nondescript title at the top of the document. Consider using a title such as "Good for You" or "You Did It" as these could stand for any accomplishment.

4. Press "Enter" on the keyboard two times to create a large space under the title. Type a subtitle such as "This certificate is awarded to [NAME]" or "We award this certificate to [NAME]."

5. Press and hold "Shift" and the underscore key to create a line for later writing the accomplishment.

6. Select the left justification icon at the top of the browser and press "Enter" two times on the keyboard. Press and hold "Shift" and the underscore key to create a two-inch line for the date. Press the spacebar four times and make a second line for a signature.

7. Place a sheet of card stock or printer paper in to the printer. Click the printer icon at the top of the software browser to print the award certificate.
