How Do I Set Up a Wireless Router With a Verizon Wireless Broadband Access Card?
Mobile broadband allows you to connect almost anywhere. With a compatible router, you can share your connection with multiple devices. Your wireless router must be compatible with your Verizon Wireless Broadband Access card. In other words, if your router includes only an ethernet-based WAN (Wide Area Network) port, you will be unable to use your Verizon Wireless Broadband Card in that router and must purchase a router that features a port that will accommodate your card type. Most air cards are either USB or ExpressCard-based, and many mobile broadband routers allow for both of these types of connections.

Tips & Warnings
Some routers include tools to help you manage your Verizon Wireless Broadband Access usage, such as time-outs and limiting connections to specific MAC addresses that identify specific computers and devices. These settings are likely found in your "Advanced" settings and can help you stay under your 5 GB per month bandwidth limit.
You may also tether your smart phone to a router if you have a data cable and the required data plan.
The MiFi allows you to connect up to five devices to a single device. Since the MiFi acts as a router and as a modem, it may be a good choice for on-the-go users.
Exceeding your monthly bandwidth limits can be very costly. Please check your usage and your usage fees prior to allowing monthly devices to connect to your Verizon Wireless air card.
