How to Draw a Moravian Star
Moravian stars are often used for holiday decoration during the Christian Advent and Christmas season. These types of decorations are popular in communities with Moravian congregations, although they have come to be affiliated with the Star of Bethlehem, even in communities outside the Moravian church. To draw this type of star, a ruler is recommended for straight-edge, accurate results.
Instructions

-
1
Draw a square with sides 1 cm long.
-
2
On each side of the square, draw a triangle with a base 1 cm wide. The base of each triangle will be flush with the side of each square. The other two sides of the triangle should be 3 cm long. Now you will have a square with a spike pointing out from every side, making a four-pointed star.

-
3
Draw a smaller spike (star point) in between each spike on the four-pointed star. The sides of these spikes should be approximately 2 cm long.
-
4
Draw a smaller spike on either side of each spike you drew in step 3. These spikes will be approximately 1.5 cm long. These spikes will be slightly to the left of center--they will not point directly into the center of the space.

Tips & Warnings
This is a very simplistic Moravian star--to draw a more accurate star, look at a photograph or a real example of a Moravian star.
