A Belkin router is commonly used with an Embarq 660 Series DSL modem. The router allows you to create a wireless Internet connection so that you can use multiple laptops on the same network. The DSL connection is very fast, so it allows you to browse the web at high speeds and download large packets of data quickly. Once you hook up your Belkin router to the 660 Series modem, you can browse the web using multiple laptops in one area.
