How to Remove Opera From Email Internet Programs

Opera is a Web browser that contains an email application within it. If you have installed the Opera browser for surfing the Internet, you may notice that links to email addresses open by default in the Opera email program. To remove Opera from email Internet programs, you will need to replace Opera with your preferred email application in the Windows configuration settings.

      Open the Start menu and hover your mouse cursor over the "Control Panel" option. When the pop-up menu appears, click on "Internet Options."

      Press the tab labeled "Programs."

      Select your email application from the drop-down menu next to "Email." For instance, if you want to use Outlook Express, choose "Microsoft Outlook Express" from the menu. Click "OK."

      Open Opera and access the "Preferences" option from the File menu.

      Click the "Advanced" tab and then the "Programs" option from the menu on the left.

      Double-click on the "Mail to" option.

      Click the "Open with default application" radio box. The default application will be the application you choose in the Windows Internet Settings. Click "OK."
