EBT card

Electronic Benefit Transfer, also known as EBT, is a way in which recipients of government cash and food assistance programs receive benefits electronically through an assigned EBT card. The EBT card is accepted in most major grocery store chains and ATM machines, making it convenient and easy to use. There are a few ways to check the balance on your EBT card: performing an online inquiry; calling the national EBT customer service line; or speaking directly with your local Health and Human Services department.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to the national JPMorgan EBT Account webpage at https://www.ebtaccount.jpmorgan.com/JPM_EFS/. Click on the registration link and read the terms and conditions provided on the registration page. Click the Agree button to proceed.

    • 2

Enter your EBT card number and your PIN (personal identification number). Click next to proceed. If you have lost or do not know your PIN, call your local Department of Human Services and retrieve your PIN in order to proceed.

    • 3

Fill out the registration form entirely. Create a user name and password that you will easily remember. Return to the JPMorgan EBT Account page once you are finished. Log in with your username and password. Your EBT balance will be provided to you once you log in.

Call 1-877-328-9677. When prompted by the automated system, enter your EBT card number. Choose the option to hear your balance when prompted.

Contact your case worker at your local Human and Human Services Department. Provide your EBT card number as well as your PIN. Your case worker will provide you with your balance.
