How to Clean Silver Lace Fabric
Special occasions such as holidays, celebrations, anniversaries and weddings call for special fabrics. Silver lace is a beautiful fabric that is often used in bridal gowns, fancy dresses, sheer curtains and elegant table linens and clothes. Lace can be very delicate and special care should be taken when cleaning. Fill a sink or tub with cold water.

Add fabric cleaner for delicate items to the water. Ensure that the fabric cleaner is to be used with delicate fabrics such as lace. Regular washing detergents may damage lace.

Place the silver lace fabric in the water and cleaner mixture. Allow the fabric to soak for 3 to 7 minutes.

Agitate the water by moving the lace around. This will work to get any dirt out of the fabric.

Drain the soapy water. Refill the sink or tub with cold water and move the fabric around to get any remaining soap out.

Hold the lace above the sink or tub to allow water to drip off. Lay the lace on a flat surface or on a clothesline to air-dry.

Store the silver lace fabric in a well-ventilated area, such as a closet with tablecloths and linens.

Tips & Warnings
Read and follow the manufacturer's instruction on properly cleaning and caring for the fabric to ensure no damage is done to the lace.
Do not use a washing machine or dryer to wash and dry the lace. This will likely cause damage to the delicate fabric.
Do not store delicate lace fabric in plastic bags. This type of storage could dry out the fabric and may even make the lace brittle.
