Car Ding Repair
Repair for even the smallest dents in your vehicle can be quite pricey. Car repair shops charge anywhere from $50 to over $100 for dents not much bigger than a quarter in diameter. There are inexpensive ways of removing these pesky little dings. They also have the benefit of not chipping away the paint in the process, provided the paint isn't already chipping and isn't too old to withstand flexing with the dent and the reparation of the dent.

Plug in your hair dryer and sit it next to your work area. Have the can of liquid air ready to be sprayed and lying within easy reach as it will need to be applied quickly.

Wash the area with a mild soap and water and a scratch-resistant auto rag. Dry thoroughly.

Turn the hair dryer on high and heat the dent and the area around the dent for approximately 30 to 45 seconds until the entire area is hot.

Immediately spray the entire dent and area around it with the can of liquid air. Be sure to cover the entire dent.

Wait and watch as the dent pops itself back out from the contraction caused by the heating and cooling of the metal.

Clean the area with a scratch-resistant cloth and mild soap again. Dry thoroughly and inspect the area.

Repeat steps 1-5 again if the dent did not pop itself out.

Tips & Warnings
This is for areas on the vehicle that have not had previous body repairs.
This method works better if the dent is not on or near the edge of a panel.
This method typically works better with vehicles from 1990 and younger.
If the paint has been damaged you may want to try a different method as this may cause further damage to broken or cracked paint.
Wear protective gloves.
Do not touch the heated area with your bare hands.
