How to Open Powerpoint Without Office
PowerPoint documents are used for presentations in many different settings. They are created using the Microsoft Office PowerPoint software. If you don't have a copy of the PowerPoint software, you can still view the files using PowerPoint Viewer or Open Office Impress. The PowerPoint viewer software is available as a free download from Microsoft. You can only use it on the Windows operating system. The Open Office software is an open source software available for most operating systems.

Download and install the PowerPoint Viewer software (see Resources).

Navigate to the PowerPoint document that you want to open.

Double-click on the file. The file will open in the PowerPoint Viewer application.
