How to Restick a Ceramic Soap Dish Between a Bath Wall Tile
A soap dish is a useful fixture in your bathroom and fits in especially well on a ceramic-tile wall. Unfortunately, after years of use, the ceramic dish might become weak and actually pull away from the wall. You can rather easily install the dish again and ensure a strong and long-lasting bond. Things You'll Need
- Putty knife
- Scouring pad
- Tile adhesive
- Soap dish
- Masking tape

Remove the old tile adhesive. Use a putty knife to scrape away the adhesive on the wall and on the soap dish itself. Use a scouring pad to remove any remaining adhesive.

Spread a thin layer of tile adhesive on the wall where the soap dish was installed. Use a putty knife to spread the layer evenly.

Using the putty knife, apply a thin layer of tile adhesive on the back of the soap dish.

Press the soap dish into place. Hold it firmly in place for a minute.

Secure the soap dish with masking tape. Take one strip of masking tape and draw it from the left side of the wall, onto the soap dish, and onto the right side of the wall. Take a second strip of masking tape and draw it from above the soap dish to below it. Press down the tape firmly on both ends and on the soap dish itself.

Let the soap dish and adhesive set for 24 hours, then remove the masking tape.
