How to Shape Circular Knitting Needles
A circular needle has two knitting needle points connected by a flexible cord. The needles can be made of bamboo, metal, plastic or other materials. Circular needles come in all sizes and lengths. Sometimes the needles are hard to use because the cord curls around too tightly. But with a little heat, you can straighten the cord and make the needle easier to knit with.

Put the hot iron on the pillow case, press down lightly. Pull one of the needles so the cord passes under the hot iron. Do not touch the iron directly to the cord or the cord may melt. Repeat this step until the cord is the shape that you want.
