1
Identify where you are when your sugar cravings usually hit. For most people, this is either in the office or at home. Go through your pantry, refrigerator, desk drawers or wherever you keep your sweets, and give or throw them away.

2
Replace the sugary treats you threw away with fresh or dried fruit, unsalted nuts or seeds, or vegetables like carrots or celery sticks. Remember, even seemingly non-sugary snacks like rice cakes or chips may contain sugar or corn syrup, so it's best to stick to natural foods like fruits, which have sugar that is more easily absorbed by the body.

When boredom hits and you want something sweet, try going on a quick walk, jog or bike ride instead. Exercise can often help keep the desire to snack at bay. If you still want something afterwards, snack on your fruit or trail mix.
