How to Change the Mouse Button Alignment on a Two-Button Mouse

If you're left-handed, you can change the mouse button alignment for easier use. The following procedure applies to Windows 98.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer Mice
  • Mouse Pads
  1. Step 1

    Click the Start button in the lower left corner of the screen. A menu appears.

  2. Step 2

    Highlight Settings to display a second menu, and click Control Panel.

  3. Step 3

    Double-click the Mouse icon to display the Mouse Properties screen.

  4. Step 4

    Click the Buttons (or Basics) tab.

  5. Step 5

    Click the radio button labeled Left-handed (or, for the Basics tab, Right or Lower).

  6. Step 6

    Click OK to accept the new setting.

  7. Step 7

    Close the Control Panel window.
