PVC pipe can be put together to make a booth for a lemonade stand or other need.

If you sell goods at a flea market or craft show, or if your child wants to set up a lemonade stand by the curb, you need a booth to showcase your wares. Build a booth out of PVC pipes and have a sturdy and long-lasting showcase suitable for many sales venues. The booth can be made in any size necessary -- small ones for children or large ones with plenty of display area for adult needs.

Things You'll Need

  • L-shaped elbow connectors
  • T-shaped PVC connectors
  • 3-way PVC connectors
  • 4-way cross PVC connectors
  • 6-by-3-foot plywood sheet

Instructions

    • 1

Construct the back of the booth. Lay four 6-foot pieces of pipe in a square on the ground. Slide one T-shaped connector and one three-way connector onto each side pipe, and two T-shaped connectors onto the bottom pipe. Connect the top two corners of the square together with elbow-shaped PVC connectors. Connect the bottom two corners with three-way connectors. The open slot on the three-way fittings should point perpendicular to the pipes.

    • 2

Slide one pair of T-shaped connectors up the side pipes so they are 1 foot down from the top piece of PVC on each side. Use glue or sealant to glue these in place. Be sure they are level and that the open slot points straight to the inside of the square. Cut a piece of PVC pipe to fit between these connectors. Put two T-shaped connectors on it and then slide its ends into the fittings on the two side pieces. Glue this in place. This forms a top section of the booth back where a banner or sign can be hung. Glue the two T-shaped connectors 2 feet in from each end of the cross pipe with their open slot facing down.

    • 3

Cut two 5-foot lengths of PVC pipe and insert them into the T-shaped connectors on the crossbar you just installed and the pipe at the bottom of the square. Before gluing them in place, slip one four-way connector onto each of these pipes. Glue these in place exactly 3 feet up from the bottom of the pipes. Also glue the three-way connectors on the side pipes at the 3-foot height.

    • 4

Cut two 2-foot lengths of pipe and one 4-foot length of pipe and install them between the connectors placed 3 feet up the pipes laying on the ground. Put a T-shaped connector on each of the 2-foot pipes before gluing them in place. Glue the T-shaped connectors directly next to where the pipes connect to the upright PVC pieces, with the open slot facing out.

    • 5

Insert a 3-foot length of PVC pipe into each of the four connectors pointing outward from the 3-foot height on the booth's back structure, which is laying on the ground. Also put a 3-foot length of pipe in each of the connectors in the bottom corners. There should be six in all, two on the bottom and four on the top. Glue them all in place.

    • 6

Prepare a 6-foot length of PVC pipe with three T-shaped connectors in the middle part and one three-way connector on each end. Attach this to the four 3-foot PVC pieces sticking out at the top of the 3-foot height on the back piece at all connection points, leaving one T-shaped connector in the center unused.

    • 7

Cut three more 3-foot PVC pipes. Add one to the T-shaped connector in the center of the forward cross bar. Connect the two others between the top and bottom 3-foot pipes on either side of the base structure. These three pipes form the front of the PVC pipe booth.

    • 8

Add a T-shaped connector to the center of another 6-foot piece of PVC pipe. Attach this pipe to the bottom corners of the base structure. Slip the 3-foot pipe in the middle into the T-shaped connector. Glue all connections together securely. Your booth is now ready to tip up onto its base with the high part in the back.

    • 9

Cut a piece of plywood to be 3-by-6 feet in size. Paint it white, or any color you choose. This piece of wood will form the tabletop of the PVC booth. Lay it on the four pipes that form the top of the front structure. This will give plenty of room to display your wares and provide the weight necessary to keep the booth sturdy on the floor.
